The number of revolutions is during the idle simply too high. The solution is called IDLE CONTROL. After the installation of Idle Control your new Harley finally sounds again like a Harley.
With Idle Control is a idle reduction possible, so that you can hear every single ignition again. The Idle Control replace the IAC actucator, which is installed behind the air filter housing. At Sportster / BigTwin models it is installed above the manifold and so pretty easy to recognize. Finally you are allowed to adjust your idle progressive, just like a carburetor, with an adjusting screw.
